At the bush camp, guests are accommodated in 9 thatched, spacious, en-suite chalets. Each chalet has a private verandah, ceiling fans, crisp white bedlinen and mosquito nets. Lodge facilities include a; swimming pool, waterhole and hide, open plan kitchen, dining area, upstairs lounge and viewing deck. There is a lovely small cottage which is a twin bedded cottage with a separate bathroom and 2 extra daybeds in the room - ideal for a family with small children or for a tour guide.
The decor at Elephant House is reminiscent of an era long gone. Here, antique Persian carpets, collectable pieces of furniture and valuable heirlooms add to the sense of history. Each of the beautifully decorated suites epitomises the romance of days gone by.
Elephant House lounge has the essence of an African boudoir with a touch of colonial fingerprint. Sink easily into the exquisitely upholstered antique settees, while locally handmade beaded lampshades of amber and garnet set the mood for restfulness. Heavy dark woods and cool stone floors keep the midday African heat at bay.
Evening meals are romantically lantern-lit and each table is crisply dressed for a night out. Meals are prepared to suit your taste and the flavours are engulfing and accompanied by fine South African wines.
