Kariega Game Reserve offers a variety of activities which are either included in the daily tariff, free of charge or optional extras. The well known Royal Port Alfred or Fish River Sun Golf course is available not only for golf enthusiasts. Morning and evening game drives as well as night drives are conducted in open safari vehicles accompanied by experienced and qualified rangers. On game drives guests can spot the Big Five, Zebra, Giraffe and Antelope species.
Kariega's hiking trails give you the opportunity to walk without a guide but safely on the non-dangerous section of the reserve. Horse riding is most magnificent on the golden beaches of nearby Kenton-on-Sea. Mountain bikes are available at the lodges to go on interesting tours in the pristine African bushveld whilst viewing game. The Kariega Queen takes guests on memorable cruises along the Kariega River with amazing bird and game watching opportunities.
Other exciting activities are fly-fishing in this tranquil and picturesque haven for fishermen, leisurely canoeing tours and swimming either in the Kariega River or one of the communal pools. Cool off from the heat of the day and revel in the beautiful river pools which are surrounded by pristine forests. The magnificent golden beaches of Kenton-on-Sea are also a nice swimming and relaxing area.
